These photos were taken in and around my house of many different subjects. I first took a few over 70 photos and came back and looked them over with my dad. We found 13 different shots that we really liked. I then took what I liked and didn't like in the first photo shoot and went out again. These time I re shoot some subjects that hadn't come out well in the first round of photos. Unfortunately this photo shoot was cut short, so I came in with 45 photos this time and went through the same process with my dad to narrow it down to 20 photos that he and I liked. The collages were made in a browser based program call Fotor.
Hope you all enjoy

I really like the spools of thread. It would be interesting to see a collage of different shots of just them.
ReplyDeleteI really like your many collages. I especially like the shots where you got the rain on them which makes for a great texture shot. Those are some cool flowers too.
ReplyDeleteI really like your Photos. My favorites are the ones you captured with rain water on them. I love how the water is 3D in the photos and is so clear.
ReplyDeleteI love collage number three! I also took some pictures of flowers and plants with rain drops on them. It makes for some good texture shots! My personal favorite is the photo of the bark and moss in collage number three. The texture captured and contrast is great!
ReplyDeleteI would agree with Becca I like the third collage and the first one. Not really digging the texture shot - they are good pictures they just don't appeal to my palette. :) Nice work.
ReplyDeleteThe last one is the one that did it for me. The color palette and range of textures is great, and the spools of thread photograph is truly stunning. I feel like the rest of the photos are not that exciting by comparison, but that makes sense compositionally - they provide a supporting contextual role and aren't meant to take interest away from the larger primary photo.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!

Texture, texture, texture! Every photo in the collages are all different textures, and it looks incredible. The third collage is my favorite. You captured the water droplets so well and the colors are so bright! It's a beautiful collage. Also, super cool how your dad helped. Another pair of eyes can really help out. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThe set of flower pictures made for a interesting collage.
ReplyDeleteI liked how you arranged each collage into categories based on colors or textures. I think I liked the second collage the best because it's very detailed, but of things you wouldn't necessarily pay attention to. Makes you take a second look and maybe makes you look around your surroundings more.
ReplyDeleteExcellent work on these! I really like the third set as well. The colors and textures work really well together… It really just has a great feel. I think it's amazing what happens when you move into the macro world of photography.
